Canada Goose vs. Arcteryx
Had an interesting talk this weekend with a couple guys from the largest Arcteryx retailer in my city.
Both say they've seen a huge uptrend in Arc' sales and talk this year. They BOTH think Arc'teryx will take over from CG
in terms of prestige and desirability. These guys sell both brands and truly know what they're talking about.
Frankly I was not surprised as the warmth is very similar or better in Arc and the design, tailoring and construction
is absolutely miles ahead.

I totally agree re: design. Much much better and stylish. Better colours, cuts and materials. Canada Goose is not even close.

I see this happening already. In the end good design and taste always wins out. Arc'teryx will overtake Canada Goose.

I went through my CG phase, kind of like puberty, and now much prefer the refinement and lines of Arc'teryx.

I am NOT a CG or Moose Knuckles fan it goes beyond the fur for me. I was devoted to Patagonia until I bought my first Arc' piece and have 19 now. It's an addiction for sure but one that makes me very happy.

Re: Canada Goose vs. Arcteryx
I have Arcteryx shells and a Canada Goose Constable jacket. My work often requires long periods of standing out in the elements. The Canada goose jacket really worked wonders during this brutal winter in the northeast. People are constantly asking if the Canada Goose is as warm as advertised and I have to say YES and that I wish I purchased CG 10 years ago. No one ever asks about Arc. I love the refined design of the Arc. it's like the apple of outdoor wear. CG gets the job done even if it is a lot uglier.

BTW, I have been wearing Arc since 2005 and back then I was the only one wearing arc in my profession. I have now seen about eight other colleagues wearing Arc. My friend/colleague just got the SV and loves it.

I have the Constable, Therme and the Ceres and they are equally warm but I simply don't wear the CG at all anymore.

Yes they're really becoming much more popular. I used to only see them in the mountains and now they're all over the urban environment.
